Wikipedia - Eastern Mavericks

Eastern Mavericks is a NBL1 Central club based in Mount Barker, South Australia. The club fields both a men's and women's team. The club is a division of the overarching Eastern Mavericks District Basketball Club (EMDBC), the major administrative basketball organisation in the Adelaide Hills region. The Mavericks play their home games at St Francis de Sales Community Sports Centre.

Het Australische basketbalteam Eastern Mavericks is een professioneel basketbalteam dat uitkomt in de National Basketball League (NBL). Het team is gevestigd in Sydney, New South Wales, en speelt zijn thuiswedstrijden in het Qudos Bank Arena. De Mavericks werden opgericht in 1988 en hebben sindsdien vijf NBL-kampioenschappen gewonnen, de laatste in 2018. Het team staat bekend om zijn snelle aanvalsspel en agressieve verdediging. De Mavericks hebben een aantal van de beste spelers van Australië in hun gelederen gehad, waaronder Andrew Gaze, Shane Heal en Luc Longley. Het team wordt momenteel gecoacht door Andrew Gaze.
