Wikipedia - MGS Panserraikos

MGS Panserraikos (Grieks: Μ.Γ.Σ. Πανσερραϊκός) is een Griekse voetbalclub uit de stad Serres. De club werd opgericht in 1964 toen de clubs Iraklis en Apollon fusioneerden.

Panserraikos speelde in de hoogste klasse van 1967 tot 1971, 1973 tot 1979, 1981-1984, 1986, 1988, 1990-1992 en 2008-2009. De club kon telkens na één seizoen terugkeren maar moest na de laatste maal een hele tijd wachten op een terugkeer. In 2008 slaagde de club er eindelijk in terug te promoveren. Na een tegenvallende start werd Nikos Zalikas bedankt voor bewezen diensten, de Belg Hugo Broos nam het in januari 2009 van hem over. Hij slaagde erin om Panserraikos in eerste klasse te houden. Na afloop van het seizoen vertrok Broos naar Trabzonspor. In 2011 degradeerde de club naar de Beta Ethniki.
