Wikipedia - Central Español FC
Central Español FC is een Uruguayaanse voetbalclub uit de hoofdstad Montevideo en werd opgericht in 1905 als Central FC. De huidige naam werd in 1971 aangenomen. De club werd landskampioen in 1984, een jaar eerder werd de titel behaalde in Segunda División. In het seizoen 2010-2011 degradeerde de club naar de Segunda División, om vervolgens binnen een jaar weer terug te keren op het hoogste niveau. Echter degradeerde Central opnieuw in 2013.
**Central Español Fútbol Club** is een Uruguayaanse voetbalclub uit Montevideo. De club werd opgericht op 5 januari 1905 en is daarmee een van de oudste voetbalclubs van het land. Central Español speelt zijn thuiswedstrijden in het Parque Palermo, dat een capaciteit heeft van ongeveer 6.500 toeschouwers.
De clubkleuren van Central Español zijn rood en wit. Het clublogo bestaat uit een cirkel met daarin de naam van de club en het oprichtingsjaar. In het midden van de cirkel staat een afbeelding van een leeuw.
Central Español heeft in zijn geschiedenis nog nooit de Uruguayaanse landstitel gewonnen. De club heeft wel een aantal regionale titels op zijn naam staan. In 2005 werd Central Español kampioen van de Segunda División Profesional, de tweede divisie van het Uruguayaanse voetbal.
In internationaal verband heeft Central Español nog nooit een grote prijs gewonnen. De club heeft wel een aantal keren deelgenomen aan de Copa Libertadores, het belangrijkste clubtoernooi van Zuid-Amerika. In 2006 bereikte Central Español de tweede ronde van het toernooi, maar werd daarin uitgeschakeld door Club Nacional de Football.
