Shatin Sports Association (Chinese: 沙田體育會) is a Hong Kong football club based in the Sha Tin District. The club currently competes in the Hong Kong First Division.

The club plays most of its home matches at Ma On Shan Sports Ground.

History

Sha Tin plays against Kitchee at the old Mong Kok Stadium.

Shatin, as 2008–09 Hong Kong Junior Shield winners, were invited to take part in the 2008–09 HKFA Cup by the HKFA. The team was drawn against Kitchee in the first round and lost the game 3–0.

They once competed in the top-tier Hong Kong First Division during the 2009–10 season, but were relegated after finishing 9th out of 10 teams.

In the 2017–18 season, the club achieved their highest ever finish, placing runners up in the First Division.

Shatin is een professionele voetbalclub uit Hongkong die uitkomt in de Hong Kong Premier League, de hoogste voetbalcompetitie van Hongkong. De club is opgericht in 1995 en is gevestigd in het Shatin District in Hongkong.

Het stadion van Shatin is het Shatin Sports Ground, dat een capaciteit heeft van 4.000 toeschouwers. De clubkleuren zijn blauw en wit.

Shatin heeft nog nooit een grote prijs gewonnen, maar heeft wel enkele successen geboekt in de afgelopen jaren. In het seizoen 2016/17 won de club de FA Cup van Hongkong en in het seizoen 2018/19 werd de club tweede in de Premier League.
