Scunthorpe United Football Club is een Engelse voetbalclub uit de stad Scunthorpe. De ploeg komt uit in de National League North, het zesde niveau van het Engels voetbalsysteem. Het team draagt de bijnaam "The Iron" en heeft het grootste deel van de clubgeschiedenis in een bordeaux en blauw thuistenue gespeeld. Ze spelen hun thuiswedstrijden op Glanford Park, nadat ze in 1988 waren verhuisd van hun oorspronkelijke stadion, de Old Show Ground.

Scunthorpe United Football Club, kortweg Scunthorpe United, is een Engelse voetbalclub die uitkomt in de League Two, het vierde niveau in het Engelse voetbalsysteem. De club is gevestigd in de stad Scunthorpe, in het graafschap Lincolnshire.

Scunthorpe United werd opgericht in 1899 als Scunthorpe & Lindsey United. De club speelde aanvankelijk in de lokale competities, maar werd in 1921 toegelaten tot de Football League. Scunthorpe United heeft sindsdien op verschillende niveaus gespeeld, met periodes in de First Division (het hoogste niveau in Engeland), de Second Division en de Third Division.

De club heeft één grote prijs gewonnen, namelijk de Football League Third Division North Cup in 1958. Scunthorpe United heeft ook twee keer de finale van de Football League Trophy bereikt, in 1998 en 2009, maar beide keren werden ze verslagen.

De thuiswedstrijden van Scunthorpe United worden gespeeld in Glanford Park. Het stadion heeft een capaciteit van 9.081 toeschouwers. De clubkleuren zijn rood en wit.
