Wikipedia - FC Platinum

FC Platinum is een Zimbabwaanse voetbalclub uit Zvishavane, dat in de provincie Midlands ligt. De club speelt in de Zimbabwaanse Premier Soccer League.

Tot 2010 heette de club Mimosa Football Club. Mimosa veranderde in januari 2011 zijn naam in FC Platinum.

FC Platinum is een professionele voetbalclub die uitkomt in de Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League. De club is gevestigd in Zvishavane, Zimbabwe.

**Geschiedenis:**

FC Platinum werd in 1995 opgericht als Mimosa FC en was oorspronkelijk gevestigd in Mhondoro-Ngezi. In 2011 werd de club gekocht door de Platinum Group Metals (PGM) en hernoemd naar FC Platinum.

**Stadion:**

FC Platinum speelt zijn thuiswedstrijden in het Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane, ook bekend als het "Giant Slayer".

**Prestaties:**

FC Platinum is een van de meest succesvolle clubs in Zimbabwe. Het heeft 4 Premier Soccer League-titels gewonnen (2017, 2018, 2019 en 2021) en 2 Chibuku Super Cup-titels (2014 en 2022).

**Internationale deelname:**

FC Platinum heeft meerdere keren deelgenomen aan continentale clubcompetities. De club heeft deelgenomen aan de CAF Champions League en de CAF Confederation Cup.
