Wikipedia - University of Trinidad and Tobago
The University of Trinidad and Tobago, also known as UTT, is a state owned university in Trinidad and Tobago established in 2004. Its main campus, currently under construction, will be located at Wallerfield in Trinidad. Presently, its campuses are an amalgamation of several former technological colleges throughout the country.
It is one of three universities in Trinidad and Tobago, the others being the University of the West Indies and University of the Southern Caribbean.
Een voetbalteam uit Trinidad en Tobago dat in Tunapuna speelt, is de United TT Football Club (UTT FC). Het team werd in 2009 opgericht door de University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) en komt sinds 2011 uit in de TT Pro League, de hoogste voetbalcompetitie van het land. UTT FC heeft nog geen grote titels gewonnen, maar het team heeft wel enkele successen geboekt in bekercompetities. Zo won het team in 2014 en 2018 de Trinidad and Tobago FA Trophy en in 2019 de Trinidad and Tobago Charity Shield. UTT FC staat bekend om zijn aanvallende speelstijl en het team heeft een aantal talentvolle spelers, waaronder doelpuntenmaker Ryan Stewart en middenvelder Jelani Felix. Het team wordt momenteel gecoacht door Earl Jean.
