Wikipedia - Victorian Premier League

De Victorian Premier League is de hoogste voetbalcompetitie van de Australische staat Victoria. Vanaf het seizoen 2006 draagt de competitie de naam Vodafone Cup naar de hoofdsponsor Vodafone.

Australië - NPL Victoria

De National Premier Leagues Victoria (NPL Victoria) is een Australische voetbalcompetitie voor heren en vertegenwoordigt het derde niveau in het Australische voetbalsysteem. De competitie wordt georganiseerd door Football Victoria en is de hoogste staatscompetitie in Victoria.

De NPL Victoria werd in 2014 opgericht als opvolger van de Victorian Premier League (VPL). De competitie bestaat uit 14 clubs die twee keer per jaar tegen elkaar spelen in een thuis- en uitwedstrijd. Het seizoen loopt van maart tot september.

De kampioen van de NPL Victoria promoveert naar de A-League, het hoogste niveau van het Australische voetbal. De onderste twee clubs degraderen naar de Victorian State League 1 (VSL1).
