India - Shillong Premier League

The Shillong Premier League (currently known as Officer's Choice Blue Shillong Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the second-level state-level football league in the Indian state of Meghalaya, below the top-tier Meghalaya State League, organised by the Shillong Sports Association (SSA), which is affiliated to the Meghalaya Football Association (MFA). It was started with 8 teams in 2010. Mawlai SC are the current champions.

De Shillong Premier League (SPL) is een professionele voetbalcompetitie in India. Het is de hoogste divisie van voetbal in Meghalaya en wordt georganiseerd door de Meghalaya Football Association (MFA). De competitie werd opgericht in 2009 en bestaat uit 10 teams.

**Formato**

De SPL wordt gespeeld in een round-robin-formaat, waarbij elk team twee keer tegen elkaar speelt. De club met de meeste punten aan het einde van het seizoen wordt gekroond tot kampioen. De twee onderste teams degraderen naar de Meghalaya First Division League.

Shillong Lajong FC heeft het grootste aantal SPL-titels gewonnen, met 6 overwinningen.

De kampioen van de SPL mag deelnemen aan de AFC Champions League, het hoogste niveau van clubvoetbal in Azië.
