Wikipedia - KOVO Cup

The KOVO Cup is a professional volleyball competition in Korea hosted by the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO). This competition is played in a format of round-robin matches followed by a knock-out stage as the CEV Champions League. It is held from July to September before the V-League. The competition is held in a centralized venue each year.

De KOVO Cup is een jaarlijks volleybaltoernooi voor mannenclubs dat wordt georganiseerd door de Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO). Het toernooi werd voor het eerst gehouden in 1996 en wordt sindsdien elk jaar gehouden. De KOVO Cup wordt gespeeld in een knock-outformaat, met 16 teams die strijden om het kampioenschap. De teams worden ingedeeld in vier groepen van vier, met de top twee teams uit elke poule die doorgaan naar de kwartfinales. De winnaars van de kwartfinales gaan door naar de halve finales, en de winnaars van de halve finales gaan door naar de finale.

De KOVO Cup is een van de meest prestigieuze volleybaltoernooien in Zuid-Korea. Het toernooi wordt gewonnen door enkele van de beste volleybalclubs in het land en het is een geweldige kans voor fans om de beste spelers van het land in actie te zien.
