Club Deportivo Hispano Americano is a professional basketball club based in Río Gallegos, Santa Cruz, Argentina. The club currently competes in the Liga Nacional de Básquet league.
On August 1, 2018, the club officially announced that it will compete again for the 2018–19 season under head coach Marcelo Richotti.
In 2016, Hispano Americano became the first club ever from the Santa Cruz Province to win promotion to the Liga Nacional de Básquet, Argentina's top basketball league.
Hispano Americano is een Argentijnse basketbalclub uit Río Gallegos, provincie Santa Cruz. De club werd opgericht in 1922 en speelt in de Liga Nacional de Básquetbol, de hoogste basketbalcompetitie van Argentinië. Hispano Americano is de enige club uit Patagonië die in de Liga Nacional speelt.
De bijnaam van de club is "El Celeste" (de hemelblauwen), naar de kleuren van hun tenue. Hispano Americano speelt zijn thuiswedstrijden in het Estadio Municipal Tito Wilson.
De club heeft nog nooit een nationaal kampioenschap gewonnen, maar heeft wel een aantal regionale titels op zijn naam staan. Hispano Americano heeft ook deelgenomen aan internationale toernooien, zoals de Liga Sudamericana de Básquetbol en de FIBA Basketbal Champions League Americas.
