Wikipedia - Suwaiq Club
Al-Suwaiq Club (Arabic: نادي السويق) is an Omani sports club based in Al-Suwaiq. The club currently plays in the Oman Professional League, top division of Oman Football Association. Their home ground is Al-Seeb Stadium. The stadium is government owned, but they also own their own personal stadium and sports equipment, as well as their own training facilities.
History
The club was founded on 28 February 1972 and was registered on 26 June 2002.
Al-Suwaiq is een Omani professionele voetbalclub gevestigd in de stad Al-Suwaiq. Het werd opgericht in 1970 en speelt in de Oman Professional League, de hoogste klasse van het Omani voetbal.
Al-Suwaiq heeft één keer de Oman Professional League, één keer Sultan Qaboos Cup en één keer de Oman Super Cup gewonnen. De club vertegenwoordigde Oman in verschillende internationale clubcompetities, waaronder de AFC Champions League en de AFC Cup.
Het thuistadion van Al-Suwaiq is het Suwaiq Sports Complex, met een capaciteit van 12.000 zitplaatsen. De club is bekend om zijn sterke jeugdsysteem en heeft vele nationale teamspelers opgeleverd.
