Wikipedia - Cleveland Guardians

Cleveland Guardians is een Amerikaanse honkbalclub uit Cleveland, Ohio. De club werd in 1901 opgericht.

De Guardians spelen hun wedstrijden in de Major League Baseball. De club komt uit in de Central Division van de American League. Het stadion van de Guardians heet Progressive Field. Ze hebben twee keer de World Series gewonnen: in 1920 en 1948. Zij wonnen de AL Central in de jaren 1995-1999 vijf keer op rij en daarna nog in 2001, 2007, 2016, 2017 en 2018. In 1997 en 2016 werden de World Series gehaald, maar die ging beide keren verloren.
