Wikipedia - Primera División (Argentinië)
De Primera División ('Eerste Divisie') is de hoogste voetbalcompetitie van Argentijns voetbal. De competitie wordt georganiseerd door de Argentijnse voetbalbond AFA. De vierentwintig (2019/2020) clubs spelen een complete competitie om te bepalen wie zich landskampioen van Argentinië mag noemen. De twee clubs met de slechtste resultaten over de laatste drie seizoenen op het hoogste niveau degraderen direct aan het eind van het seizoen. De club die daar achter volgt speelt promotie/degradatie play-offs.
In 2021 werd de competitie door de IFFHS uitgeroepen tot nummer negen van sterkste nationale competities ter wereld en de tweede van Zuid-Amerika.
